Fashion Choices

I love the fact that Abigail loves her Tennessee  boots, but sometimes her clothing choices don't always match her boots.

Case in point, tonight we were getting ready for swimming class  and she went to her room to get her shoes.  Well, the Tennessee boots won yet again.  I tried to get her to wear a pair of shorts over  her suit but I didn't win that  battle.  Oh well!  I hope my daughter's fashion choice brought a smile to a few people at the YMCA.

Below is the proof that crazy is just a standard in our house!

Happy Father's Day and a little ice cream

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!  I am know that Matt and I have wonderful fathers in our lives  and Abigail has some pretty amazing Papas.  Hope all the dads out there enjoy your day!

Well we had a quick lunch today with my parents and  uncle tom....and all the dogs too!  For dessert we had  ice cream cones.  Abby loves ice cream but this was the first time that she wanted a cone.  The pictures  below are showing how that all went!  She enjoyed it and that is all that matters....plus Korky did a pretty good job at licking the drips.

Butt Prints

Ok so Matt is gone all day for basketball  and it rained all morning.   Sun comes out and we go outside to play.  Of course  Abigail  picks the water table to play with.  I go inside to check on one thing and I come back to her giggling.   When I ask her what she is doing, she giggles and says "making butt prints ".    Of course I laughed and she continued.   Ugh, this kid has some crazy ideas.....

Here are some pictures to prove it....

Better Late Than Never.....

Totally should have saw this coming......2015 started and I said I would try to update this blog once a month and here we are, the middle of June and I am just making my second post of 2015!  YIKES!

Well, considering there has been that much time between posts - you can probably guess that we have had nothing going on and have been sitting around doing nothing!   Funny!!  2015 has been a crazy busy year already and looks like it will continue that way!

So here is the best of my memories by month......

January:  Not a nice winter here in Wausau so we spent lots of time indoors.  Matt was busy with basketball so while he was gone we kept busy with swimming and gymnastics classes.  We made it to a game or two, but with the game times being so late, we didn't get to go much.

February: Abigail had a "Sweetheart" program at school to celebrate Valentine's Day.  We embarked on the journey of potty training - we set a date and didn't turn back.  Thank goodness our little girl is pretty smart - she caught on pretty quickly and we are happy to not have diapers in our life anymore!   Abigail loves her undies and is so proud of herself when she goes potty!

March: Abigail, Koda and I traveled to Mishicot to spend a weekend there and help them pack for their move to the Wausau area. Abigail and I were also able to spend some time and celebrate my niece/goddaughter's 1st birthday.  Fun weekend!

April: We travelled down to visit Matt's parents in Wonewoc and to celebrate Easter with them.  Always relaxing and fun to spend time there.  This month also marked the official move of my parents to their house here.  The old house sold and all items were moved - overall a smooth process but we are all glad it is done now!

May:  We were able to squeeze in 2 weekends in Wisconsin Dells.  Waterparks were the main attraction and Abigail did great both weekends.  We stayed at different resorts/condos each time so that was neat to experience what each of them have to offer.  During those weekends we were also able to see concerts by Vince Gill and Martina McBride.  Lots of Christmas shopping was also completed during these trips along with some golfing!

June: Matt and I started to have "date nights" - first time really since before Abigail was born!   We have two wonderful young girls who are best friends who have been coming to watch Abby a few hours a week.  They really seem to enjoy coming over and playing with both Abby and Koda.  Abigail really likes them and has a great time.  It is nice to know that all of us are having a good time when they come over!

Sayings:
-"grandma, sometimes you just have to be practical!"
-"My daddy has a ladder."  In response to papa trying to get balloons off the ceiling in the garage.
-"This is the best day ever!"
-"I did last week."  Her response when she doesn't want to try to go potty when we ask her!
-"Hawride" is really Koda's rawhide
-"Nustnache" is really Papa's mustache

Antics:
-Hand on the hip or hips when trying to get us to listen to her
-Very particular on if she wants to ride in her stroller or her wagon when we go for a walk

I am sure I am missing a MILLION things but this is the best I can do......

Overall - we have all been good, busy and happy!   Matt is now enjoying summer break and I am continuing to be busy at work.  The summer is getting busy for us but I am sure we will all enjoy it.

Hope everyone is well and hope everyone has a wonderful summer!

I will do my best to make a post again before the snow flies!
With Abigail's 3rd birthday right around the corner - I will try to post pictures from that!

Now to the best part......TONS of pictures!   ENJOY

She wanted a fruit leather snack, touched it and said it was sticky (which it is),
then proceeded to point her index finger up and say "I need my glove,"
she then put on a kitchen glove and ate her snack!  This kid makes me laugh all the time!
