Family Night and some extras

This past week Abigail's school held a family night.   Our little girl was so excited that we were counting down the days to the big night.

As soon as we parked she had to lead and show us the way.    She had to say hi to so many people,  both teachers and friends!   It was such a wonderful feeling to know that so many people know and care about our little nut.

After dinner in her lunchroom and meeting a few more of her friends,  we headed out to do a Home Depot project.   Of all the options, she chose a bug house.   She did a great job with building it and had a good time.

After we were done building we went to the library since it was raining out.  She was so excited to show us where the state books are!    We played some games and then called it a night.

It was so wonderful to see Abigail so confident and happy to be at school.

The weekend Big A joined us so of course this house was wild!   Abigail was so happy on Friday when he got here,  she was talking a mile a minute!

Also attached are some other pictures from this past week.....trying to keep this blog updated better!

Apples!

Today we went to Rock Ridge Orchard to do some apple picking!   It was a gorgeous day out so we were happy to be outside.

As soon as we pulled up, Abigail had to run over and see the animals, especially the horse.   This girl and her animals!  After a little climb on the hay bales, we were ready to head out and get picking!

Good thing dad and Adam were there to help Abigail grab some high ones!   She needed to inspect all the apples as we picked them.

We ended out trip with one treat for our little sugar living girl.....a Carmel Apple with SPRINKLES!

Overall a fun day for us and nice to have Big A come along for the 2nd year of apple picking!

A visit from Andrew

Last week, Andrew came back to WI for the week to relax and have some family time.   I know we saw him at the end of March but it was wonderful to see him and spend time with him.

We were able to go and pick him up and spend some adult time with him while Abigail got a night with grandma and papa.   Sunday was a day of smoked ribs and relaxing at our house.

During the week,  we got to spend more time with him.   Abigail loved playing with him and just having him around.  The dogs loved goofing around with him too and I think Andrew enjoyed the chaos a bit too!

What a wonderful visit from Andrew and some great memories for all in our family.   Abigail had some tears when he had to go back to Seattle....but have no fear,  she is already planning our trip out there for next summer!

Grampas Farm

We continued our annual tradition of going to Grampas Farm in Merrill.   This year was super hot and humid....85 degrees at 10am!   We handled it well and loved the time together.

It was wonderful to see Abigail conquer all of the activities this year.   We have seen her grow each year and this year was the best one yet.

This year she loved rolling in a giant tire like a hampster.   It was fun to see her enjoying herself.

Her love of ALL animals was very evident as she wanted to hold and touch them all.  After a bumpy ride out to the pumpkin patch, we picked the perfect one and headed home.

It may have been hot and we may have been sweaty,  but it sure was fun.

Brewer Game!

The Friday of Labor Day weekend was Matt's first day of school but we had tickets to the Brewer Game.  My parents, Abigail and I took the trip down to Milwaukee to take in the game.

Abigail liked it but it was a late game and she enjoyed walking around and eating all the yummy stuff.

Still a neat experience for her!
